Weight LossNo two metabolisms are alike, therefore each patient enrolled in Dr Weiss' program is treated on an individual basis. Our 3-step program is designed to have you burning fat and losing inches at your genetic maximum.

Step 1: The Metabolic Evaluation & Physical


Your initial visit to Dr Weiss' office will begin with a Metabolic Evaluation & Physical. This is to help determine the factors that are having an affect on your metabolism.

Determining factors include:

A thyroid condition
Medical history
Current blood profile
Your hormonal levels
Your activity levels
Cravings
Your current list of medications Dr Weiss will also perform a body fat analysis which will determine your body fat percentage, lean body mass, and body water percentage. He will then go over the results with you. Once all of the factors have been taken into consideration which are having an affect on your metabolism, Dr Weiss will then use them to prescribe a strategy for your weight loss. We do not have a one size fits all weight loss program. Dr Weiss feels that everyone has a different metabolism, therefore each patient is treated on an individual basis. Upon completion of the Metabolic Evaluation & Physical, you are ready to move on to the second step of the program.

Step 2: Your Personalized Program

"There is no one-size-fits-all road to permanent weight loss, everyone's body is different," asserts Dr Weiss. Your program is structured towards your individual needs and can utilize a number of strategies to maximize your genetic metabolic potential. Our programs also cater to those with time constraints, busy lifestyles, and dietary restrictions.

Features of your program include:


Dr Weiss' vitamin and mineral formula
Medication, if necessary, for fat metabolism and cravings
Weekly visits with Dr Weiss if necessary
Weekly visits with a nutritional counselor including body fat analysis
Meal plans based on the foods you enjoy
Exercise prescription Our program is designed to be 12-weeks in duration, however we will be able to give you an approximate timeframe to your goal based on how much fat you need to lose. Healthy and safe weight loss occurs at 2-3 pounds per week. When you reach your goal we will then move you on to the third and final phase.

Step 3: Maintenance

Weight loss is not just about losing the weight. More importantly, you want to maintain your progress to ensure the weight doesn't come back. Once you have reached your goal you will be switched to the maintenance phase. Your weekly visits will be switched to 1 monthly visit for a bodyfat analysis and follow up session with a nutritionist. Every 6 months, as long as you remain within 5 pounds of your goal, you will have a sit down visit with Dr Weiss to evaluate your current state of health and ensure that you are following healthy nutrition and exercise habits. If you have exceeded the 5 pound mark then you will be placed on phase 2 until you are back to goal. It is important to minimize any chance of residual weight gain early so that you are able to maintain a healthy lifestyle and not fall into old eating habits.
